Mrs Patricia Pinamang Acheampong is a product of St Monica’s Senior High School, Ashanti Mampong and St Louis Senior High School, Kumasi. She holds a BSc in Agriculture (Agricultural Economics) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and an MSc in Economics (Public Pulicy) from the University of Hull, U.K. She holds certificate in data management and Scientific Writing and Communication.
Mrs. Acheampong has been with the CSIR-Crops Research Institute since May 2005. Her interest is in development economics where gender issues are her priorities. She is currently untaken research in the field of rational choice where she is interested in farmers’ preferences for cassava varieties traits. She hopes to find answers to why adoption rates of cassava varieties are low in Ghana. She has conducted a number of surveys and written many reports. She has attended many workshops and conferences in Ghana and abroad.
In 2010 she won two years fellowship with the African Women in Agricultural Research and Development under the Gender and Diversity program.
